ANNOUNCEMENT (August 21st, 2006)
On-line registration is closed, and only on-site registration is possible. For inquiries, please contact the Registration Office info-ecai2006@itc.it. Due to organizational reasons, e-mails can be answered if received within August 24 (CET). Thank you

The registration form lists the events of ECAI 2006 you can register for; they are shown as tabs at the top of the registration form. The events are:

• ECAI 2006 Technical Conference,
• AI*IA Day,
• STAIRS'06,
• tutorials,
• workshops,
• Gender and Science Event,
• conference dinner (August 31, 8:00 p.m. approx., Riva del Garda),
• accommodation, and bus transfer.

NOTE: You can register through the registration form only once, after having completed all the steps involved in the registration procedure and having confirmed it. This involves signing and faxing the generated pdf file. Should any changes or new inquiries be added, please contact the Registration Office directly, by e-mail (info-ecai2006@itc.it) or fax (++39-0461-314501).

How to register

Please follow these steps:

1. fill in the online registration form;
2. when complete, submit the registration form ; the submission will generate a pdf copy of your registration;
3. print and fax the pdf registration copy to the ECAI registration office (see below) and,
• if you pay by bank transfer, you need to fax a copy of the transfer together with the pdf registration copy,
• if you pay by credit card, you need to sign and complete the card details in the pdf registration copy before faxing it.

PAYMENT is in Euros and in one of the following ways:

• Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, Eurocard, AMEX)
• Bank transfer (payment details will be given after completion of the registration process).

Deadlines: the deadlines for payment are as follows.

• Early registration fees valid until 28 May, 2006
• Late registration fees valid until 20 August 2006
• From August 27, on-site registration fees are applied (to be paid at the conference registration desk).

Payment must be received with the registration. Registration is only valid on receipt of full payment. Participants are requested to register on-line through the registration form.

Students must provide copy of their studentship ID together with full payment by fax to the Registration Office.

CONFIRMATION
Upon receiving the registration form and confirming the payment, the Registration Office will send you a confirmation email, bearing your registration number. Please bring this confirmation with you and present it at the registration desk at the congress site.
Written receipt of payment can be provided only at the congress site. For inquiries, please ask the registration office: info-ecai2006@itc.it.

CANCELLATION

For cancellations of registrations, a written notification of cancellation must be sent to the registration office.
The following cancellation fee and bank handling charge will be deducted before refunding:

• tutorials or workshops might be cancelled depending on the number of applicants. In case of cancellation, a full refund of the tutorial/workshop fee will be made;
• All refunds will be made after the Congress, by BANK TRANSFER only. The following refund policy will be adopted:
  • before May 28, 2006: full refund (bank handling charge will be deducted);
  • 29 May, 2006 through 20 August, 2006: 50% of payment minus bank handling charges;
  • From 21 August, 2006: 0% of the amount of payment (i.e., no refund)

WI-FI and Internet Access

Please notice that, due to Italian Law (D.M. 16 August 2005), for Internet access during ECAI 2006, you must bring a valid ID (passport or identity card) at the registration desk. For details, please, check with the registration personnel (info-ecai2006@itc.it).

GENDER EVENT (28 August 2006, 5:30 pm)

Invited talk by Marina Calloni (University of Milano Bicocca/ENWISE expert group) scheduled on August 28, at 5:30 PM. A social event will follow her talk. The final program will be published as soon as possible on the ECAI 2006 web site.

Registration is free of charge.

For organizational reasons, we strongly encourage you to choose if you are willing to participate in this event during your registration process.
